The art of
David Lloyd has developed and matured over
thirty or more years. Imagination and
fantasy have continued to be a hallmark of
his work.
His recent paintings reflect a fascination
with the mysterious origins of design and
creative inspiration by employing an
imaginative interplay of colour, shapes, and
textures over carefully prepared fields of
muted colour. A perceived analogy to song
and dance would be correct. In fact the
artist likens his paintings to changed
poems, more evident even in his many
collages.
His years as a teacher exposed him to the
art of children which in his humble opinion
is the greatest art in the world. |
